Founded in Cardiff in 2015 by Chef Krish, Keralan Karavan started not with a business plan, but with something more personal: a desire to share the food of his Keralan heritage with the city he had made his home. A decade on, that hasn’t changed. We’re still on a mission to deliver traditional Indian flavours with a contemporary twist, to any of your events, festivals, or special occasions.

That approach has paid off. Keralan Karavan has been named Welsh Street Food Champion, won Best Sandwich and People’s Choice at the British Street Food Awards. Most recently Krish took the title of Street Food Chef of the Year at the Craft Guild of Chefs Awards in 2026 – recognition from the industry that regional Indian cuisine, deserves a place on the biggest stages in British food.
